Hungry Juan(a) Anne has developed a taste for tsukemen since first trying it in Tokyo, Japan. What is tsukemen? It literally means "dipping ramen" which is also how to eat it. With chopsticks, pick some of the noodle and dip it in thick broth for flavor. Slurp and repeat.

The Michelin Guides are a series of guide books published by French tire manufacturer, Michelin. No idea on how a tire company began rating food establishments but it is what it is now. In 2016, Michelin deemed Singapore as a dining destination and a guide specific to Singapore has been launched. In that inaugural guide, Liao Fan Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle was included making it the world's cheapest Michelin-Starred meal. That is if you don't consider the dollar equivalent of the time used to queue for a plate or 2.

2.50 sgd - soya chicken with noodle

The chicken is so tender and flavorful. Worth queueing for for 3 hours? Not sure but it was mighty tasty.

3.00 sgd pork ribs with rice

I wanted the roast pork but the guy right before me in the queue took all that's left. So I settled for the pork ribs, not too shabby! Maybe one of these days I'll go back and try my luck with the roast pork.
